Missing My Mom

Hi Everybody
My first thought is what the heck is this convention thing all about. I get up on Tuesday morning July 16th, everything starts out normal, but then dad carries this canvas rectangle box out to the car. I’m thinking it’s a funny case for an airplane, but what do I know. Then dad and mom both give me a kiss good-bye and I think dad is driving mom to work and why can’t I go. I find out later that night when I’m stressed to the max that mom got on this crazy flying machine with an ELK on the tail and headed to this place call Salt Lake City. So now dad and I are alone for 6 days by ourselves and to make matters worse, dad had surgery right after he dropped mom off at the airport.  I had to take care of him. I think he should have been in the hospital, but, they sent him home to me with this big bandage on the side of his face. For the rest of the week, it’s take care of dad, take off the bandage, lick the wound, put the bandage back on. It wasn’t easy doing that twice a day. But dad is healing well and I have decided I might  become a doctor when I grow up. And I’ll tell you one thing, with me health care will  be affordable. Give me a doggie bone and I’m happy. None of this $1000 for a simple lick from my tongue.  Life was pretty easy for us guys, we just relaxed and did guy things, and when mom came home 6 days later all we heard was convention this and convention that. My gosh that woman can babble on and on. I’m sure you’ll hear all about it at the August Stamp Camp and probably to infinity and beyond.
See you all then. Blessings to everybody.
